Search on for men who fired shot, robbed northside restaurant

Police say suspects got away with $1,200


SAN ANTONIO - Police are searching for two men who fired a gun while robbing a northside restaurant Saturday night.

That robbery happened just before 10 p.m. at El Gran Caribe in the 3200 block of Basse.

Police say two men walked into the restaurant with bandanas over their faces.

One of the men walked up to the counter and pointed a gun at at the cashier and demanded money.

When she didn't get the money out of the register fast enough, the man fired one shot into the air.

The cashier handed over $1,200 in cash and the men took off.

Police say both men are in their 20's.

One was wearing a brown sweater and the other was wearing a black hoodie.
