New Braunfels police officers responded to a call for an assault just after 4 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 200 block of Skyview.
Officers were unable to locate the female victim, but received a call a short time later from the same woman who said she had to leave because the suspect, identified as Christopher Author Kurtz, found her waiting for police, and rammed her vehicle with his.
Officers located the victim on E. Common Street and she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to police, New Braunfels SWAT returned to the home on Skyview around 7 p.m. and attempted to get Kurtz out peacefully but negotiations failed.
