Three critical after early morning stabbing

Stabbing happened during fight near UTSA campus

Police are investigating an early morning stabbing that left three people in critical condition.

It happened around 1:45 Sunday morning at an apartment complex in the 6600 block of Pinon Canyon.

That complex is across the street from UTSA's main campus.

Police say at least five people got into a fight.

That's when someone pulled a knife and stabbed the three victims.

One man was stabbed in the chest and was taken to University Hospital.

The two other victims managed to drive themselves to University Hospital.

Police found a blood trail in the area, along with broken windows and a broken door.

Two men were detained for questioning at the scene.
