Driver jumps curb, slams into utility poles on Perrrin-Beitel
San Antonio police said a driver was speeding when he lost control of his car and slammed into a two utility poles on the Northeast Side.
The single-car crash was reported just after 1 a.m. Thursday in the 12000 block of Perrin Beitel.
Police said the 20-year old driver failed to slow down when he came around a corner, jumped a curb and slammed into the utility poles.
Officers at the scene said the impact of that crash caused the vehicle to be ripped into two pieces.
The driver sustained multiple injuries and was taken to University Hospital. No one else was in the car. Police have not said if alcohol was a factor.
