Bexar County deputy injured in 2-vehicle wreck in north San Antonio
Deputy taken to Stone Oak Methodist Hospital for treatment, charges unknown
A Bexar County sheriff's deputy was hospitalized late Sunday after a two-vehicle crash in north San Antonio.
The sheriff's deputy told police he was driving to work on the Highway 281 access road near Brookhollow when he passed a green light and was struck by a pick-up truck that made a left turn from the opposite lane.
The driver of the truck, an 18-year-old man, remained at the scene. The sheriff's deputy was taken to Stone Oak Methodist Hospital for treatment.
The severity of his injuries not released. Police have not said if the teen driver would face charges. Investigators said alcohol was a not a factor in the crash.
