Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s Monday night across the San Antonio area, and elevated fire weather conditions are in effect across South Central Texas for the next few days.

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for the Hill Country until 10 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures across the San Antonio area are expected to reach a high of 63 with clear skies Monday, but then drop to the mid-30s Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Tuesday will warm up a bit with a high near 66 and a low around 45, according to the NWS.

The elevated fire weather conditions will continue through Tuesday across South Central Texas due to the dry air and low afternoon relative humidities, the NWS says.

The cold, dry air also increases the chances for wildfires.
