San Antonio police catch suspected drug dealer in the act

SAPD: Officer chased suspect, caught him trying to flush drugs down toilet

A suspected drug dealer was arrested after a San Antonio police officer spotted him dealing and chased him into a West Side apartment complex.

The officer was on patrol near the Alazan Apache Courts near S Brazos Street when he noticed the suspect dealing what appeared to be heroin.

The officer said the suspect saw him and fled on foot into the housing complex.

The officer chased the suspect into the apartment unit and caught him trying to flush the drugs down a toilet.

Detection dogs were called and four other people inside the apartment were arrested in connection with marijuana that was found in the kitchen. There was no word what charges they would face.

San Antonio police said the suspected drug dealer will be charged with evading arrest on foot, possession of illegal narcotics and distribution. The name of the suspect has not been released.
