Cribs sold at JC Penney recalled

Drop side poses strangulation, suffocation danger

Tens of thousands of cribs sold at JC Penney are being recalled because of entrapment and suffocation hazards.

The recall involves 14 models of the PT Domusindo Perdana wooden drop-side cribs sold through the JC Penney catalog and website.

The cribs are being recalled because the drop sides can malfunction, detach or fail, causing the drop side to fall out of position.

An infant or toddler could fall out of the crib or get wedged or entrapped.

Consumers should stop using the cribs and contact Modus Furniture International for a free immobilizer kit to correct the problem. You can call (800)-827-2129 with any questions.
