Rear-end wreck stuns Bexar Co. deputy

Patrol car hit from behind while parked on roadside

A Bexar Co, deputy on patrol was shaken Sunday morning when a car slammed into his vehicle from behind.

The deputy was parked along Loop 1604 near New Sulphur Springs Rd. around 10:30 a.m. when another driver crashed into the patrol car from behind.

Investigators are now trying to determine why the other driver slammed into the deputy.

They say the deputy involved was stunned and dizzy following the accident.

Acadian Ambulance transported him to a hospital for observation.
