Man shot while breaking up fight outside Palace strip club

Man shot in chest at Palace strip club, expected to recover

A man was shot as he tried to break up a fight between a couple outside the Palace strip club on the Northeast Side.

Police were called to the strip club in the 2400 block of NE Loop 410 around 2:35 a.m. Monday for reported gunshots.

According to SAPD, the victim saw a man push a woman in the parking lot and approached the couple.

The two men then got into a fight and the suspect went to his truck and grabbed a gun. The suspect fired twice and hit the victim once in the chest, police said.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable condition. He was expected to survive, police said.

Witnesses saw the suspect and the woman he had been fighting with leave together in a white Nissan pickup truck.
