Man says 'Sorry' repeatedly while beating, robbing 2 women

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man who they said apologized profusely while attempting to rob two women at a northwest side apartment complex.

According to a police report, the man assaulted two women within minutes of each other just before 2 a.m. on March 21 at the complex, located in the 8300 block of West Hausman Road, near Loop 1604.

Police said the man was brandishing a large metal flashlight and struck one of the women several times and threatened the other.

The suspect is described as being a Hispanic male between the ages of 21 and 25, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. Police said he has black hair and was unshaven and was wearing a white shirt, khaki pants, a black windbreaker and a light-colored baseball cap.

Police said he apologized repeatedly to both women as he attempted to rob the first women and then again, as he assaulted the second woman. The latter woman was treated at the scene by EMS for lumps and bruises.
