Popovich 'very concerned' about Tony Parker leg injury

NBA.com report: Parker may have tendinitis in shin

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says he is very concerned about Tony Parker's latest injury that kept him on the bench late in the fourth quarter of the Spurs loss to Oklahoma City Thursday night.

Jeff Caplan of NBA.com reports Parker may have tendinitis in his shin. Parker struggled Thursday going 1 for 6 with 2 points.

He played only a few minutes in the fourth and remained on the bench after the Spurs had gotten back within striking distance of the Thunder.

Popovich said after the game he pulled Parker after he noticed him limp across half-court.

Parker continues to recover from an ankle sprain that caused him to miss eight games last month. There was no update on whether he would play Saturday night against Atlanta.

Parker's latest leg injury comes at a time when the Spurs are battling Oklahoma City for home court advantage in the West playoffs, and Manu Ginobili continues to recover from a hamstring injury that could cause him to miss the start of the playoffs.
