Police say Dollar General at 5735 W. Commerce robbed March 24
The San Antonio Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying suspects who robbed a local convenience store.
The incident occurred at the Dollar General at 5735 W. Commerce in San Antonio on March 24.
Police said one of the suspects walked into the convenience store pointing a gun at the clerk and demanded money from their registers.
Wearing black gloves, the first suspect jumped onto the counter and demanded money at gunpoint, said police. The second suspect stood at the doorway during the robbery.
Police said the clerk gave the suspect cash from the register in one of the store's plastic bags, all while directing "a lot of anger" towards the clerk during the robbery.
The store employee said he had an earlier incident around 8 p.m. when he told the suspect to leave the store. Police said he recognized the suspect from a previous shoplifting incident when they walked in.
Police said that the suspect became irate with him and threatened him, advising him that their "boys" would be back later to take care of him.
The first suspect is described by police as being approximately 5-foot 5-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. The suspect had a medium build and wore a dark-colored hoodie, baggy blue jeans, black shoes and a red bandana on his face.
Police said the second suspect is approximately 5-foot, 2-inches and weighs 170 pounds. The suspect wore a white-hooded jacket and blue pants.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects responsible for this crime.
