HEB celebrates 70th anniversary in San Antonio

Store announces partnership with Scorpions, Morgan's Wonderland, Soccer for a Cause

A cake to celebrate H-E-B’s 70th anniversary of serving San Antonio arrived at KSAT 12 Tuesday afternoon.

The sweet treat comes on the same day as H-E-B's announcement of a multi-year partnership with the San Antonio Scorpions, Morgan’s Wonderland and Soccer for a Cause.

HEB will also be making a major anniversary community gift to Boysville.

The Scorpions open their home season this Saturday night at their brand new Toyota Field stadium, and you will be able to see that match live on KSAT 12 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

You can be part of the 70th anniversary celebration Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the HEB Plus at 11650 Bandera Road at Loop 1604.

Scorpions owner Gordon Hartman along with the Scorpions players and mascot will be on hand Wednesday, where a signed jersey will be presented to HEB to be raffled off to customers. A 70th anniversary Fiesta medal will also be unveiled while Scorpion players sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
