Man's body found in Seguin home

Police acting on tip from co-workers find victim

Seguin police are investigating a suspicious death in the 500 block of North Camp in Seguin.

They describe the victim as a white male in his 50s or 60s.

Investigators have been looking for clues at the victim’s home since about 10 a.m. on Friday.

Police were alerted to the death after they received phone calls from co-workers of the victim. They told police he hasn’t been at work since Monday.

They say he’s an electrician who works in San Antonio, but lives alone in Seguin.

When officers arrived at the victim’s home, they discovered a body in the living room. At this time, police aren’t saying he died from natural causes.

Seguin police Captain Maureen Watson said, “We found a white male deceased in living room of home and we have not positively identified the individual and we have not established how he died.”

Investigators continue to talk with neighbors to see if they heard or saw anything suspicious in recent days. They say it appears the home was not broken into and there was no trauma to the body.

An autopsy will be done on the body tomorrow.

At this time, the victim’s name has not been released until his family is notified.
