robbery-arrest

A man is in custody after police said he stole a vehicle from a disabled veteran.

It happened Friday afternoon at a CVS drug store in the 3000 block of Nacogdoches Road.

Police said the female disabled veteran walked into the store when the suspect approached her, as if to ask her a question.

The man then rushed her, grabbed her and forcefully ripped the keys out of her hand, said police.

Police said the man stole her Chevy Tahoe and took off into a nearby apartment complex on Rosewood and Pat Booker Road.

Universal City police caught the 28-year-old suspect there and contacted the San Antonio Police Department.

The disabled veteran was able to identify him and her vehicle. That suspect now faces charges of aggravated robbery.
