San Antonio police arrest 'most wanted' criminal

SAPD: Suspect linked to more than 5 armed robberies

San Antonio police arrested a man who they had at the top of their most-wanted list.

Riley Adams, 38, was arrested early Monday morning.

Police say he has been linked to more than five armed robbery cases.

Adams had escaped police just a few days ago after he ran from them after he was spotted at a corner store.

This time, police were ready and waiting.

They surrounded his girlfriend's home in the Auburn Creek Apartments on Gardendale and Wurzbach Road and nabbed him when he showed up just after midnight.

Sources told KSAT 12 News that Adams used to live at the apartments with his girlfriend but didn't live there anymore. They said there were repeat problems of domestic violence with the couple.

Adams has a lengthy criminal record that includes charges of domestic assault, aggravated robbery, criminal trespass, arson, burglary, DWI and evading and resisting arrest

He was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

He's expected to face multiple charges.
