Cold weather, showers likely for Fiesta

Chance of rain to persist through Friday morning

SAN ANTONIO - KSAT Meteorologist Steve Browne says another strong cold front is on the doorstep of the Alamo City, bringing with it abnormally low temperatures and rain showers.

The front, which has already brought below-freezing temperatures to the Panhandle, will hit the Hill Country first, before blowing into town around dinner time tonight.

Steve says it probably won't freeze in town, but there's a good chance we won't hit 60 for the high on Wednesday, which would be a new record for a cold high temperature.

Wednesday will be windy behind the front, with showers possible.

Storms and thunder-showers are due before and behind the front tonight, which will see a low in the mid-50s.

Steve recommends bringing a jacket and umbrella if you're planning on braving the weather for NIOSA tonight, and a jacket at the very least tomorrow night.

A chance of rain will persist through Thursday and Friday, but temperatures will gradually warm up as we head toward the weekend.
