Woman hurt after crash into retaining wall in northwest San Antonio

Victim taken in for mandatory blood draw

A woman was injured after she crashed her car into a highway retaining wall early Wednesday morning.

The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. at Interstate 10 and Ramsgate on the city's Northwest Side.

Police said the woman was trying to make the turn around when she slammed into the wall.

She suffered a broken ankle and taken to University Hospital for a mandatory blood draw.

Animal Control was called in because she had a Pit Bull puppy with her.

No word if the animal was injured.
