San Antonio police piecing together shooting scene

Dozens of shell casings found at Ferris and Bellinger, no injuries reported

SAN ANTONIO - Dozens of shots were fired down an East Side street Wednesday morning and San Antonio police are left trying to piece together a crime scene.

According to investigators, a few minutes after 10 a.m., multiple calls came out reporting a shooting at the corner of Ferris and Bellinger.

When police arrived, they found dozens of shell casings on the ground.

Several houses were hit, as were several cars parked in front of those homes, but no people were reported hit.

A San Antonio police spokesman said crime scene investigators have several persons of interest in the case and are actively pursuing several leads and descriptions provided by eye-witnesses. He said they are also "developing forensic evidence."

Although no one was reported hit, there were a lot of casings on the ground.
