SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District rates restaurant scores excellent to poor based on a demerit system.

The scoring is as follows:

0-10 demerits = excellent

11-20 demerits = good

21-30 demerits = acceptable

31 or more = poor

Following are the latest scores:

  • Freddy’s Frozen Custard, 255 E. Basse, 3 demerits
  • McDonald’s, 2135 S.W. Military, 3 demerits
  • Texas Roadhouse, 2893 Cinema Ridge, 6 demerits
  • Taqueria Rodeo, 9714 Potranco Rd., 8 demerits
  • Cheddar’s Casual Café, 7403 N.W. Loop 410, 10 demerits
