Assistance center for San Antonio, Bexar County flood victims opens Thursday
Center located at San Antonio Central Library, no appointments necessary
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio and South Central Texas residents affected by last month's flooding can begin to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans Thursday to help with recovery efforts.null
A disaster declaration signed by Gov. Rick Perry allows the U.S. Small Business Administration to make assistance available in the Texas Counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson, a press release stated.
"The loans are available to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private, nonprofit organizations whose property was damaged or destroyed by this disaster,” said SBA’s San Antonio District Director Pamela Sapia.
The Disaster Loan Outreach Center is set up in the second floor of the San Antonio Central Library in the 600 Soledad Street.
SBA representatives will be on hand to issue loan applications, answer questions about SBA’s disaster loan program, explain the application process and help each individual complete their application, a press release stated.
The center opens Thursday, June 13 at 1 p.m.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays thru Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.
The center will close on Tuesday, July 2 at 6 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
