Police work crash on downtown street

Inve­stigators say alcohol may be factor in accident

SAN ANTONIO - Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in a downtown accident that left two people injured.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. Sunday near the corner of Augusta and Navarro.

Police say a driver hit a curb and lost control. They then hit a pole and the car flipped on its side.

A woman in the car was transported to University Hospital.

A man was taken to Metropolitan Hospital with chest pains.

No word on their conditions.
