SAN ANTONIO - Wagner High School grad Andre Roberson is headed to a Spurs rival after being selected in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft.

Roberson was selected with the 26th overall pick by Minnesota, but was quickly traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

There were reports the Thunder moved from the 29th pick to jump the Nuggets and Spurs to select Roberson.

Roberson, a 2010 Wagner grad, led the Thunderbirds to back-to-back 5A state semifinal appearances, then went on to play college ball at Colorado.

Roberson declared for the draft after his junior season. He averaged about 11 points per game during his last two seasons, but more impressive, was second in the nation in rebounding last season, averaging 11.2 per game.

Roberson was also named All Pac-12 twice and was the conference Defensive player of the Year last season.
