Missing SA brothers found safe in Waco

Boys were with biological parents

SAN ANTONIO - More than 24 hours after San Antonio police issued a plea for information to help find two young brothers who had not been seen since July 9, police said the boys were found safe in Waco.

Joshua Robert Sanchez, 4, and Jayce Anthony Sanchez, 1, were last seen on July 9 by a Child Protective Services case worker. CPS went to remove the boys from their home July 11 only to find the pair gone.

Wednesday, Waco police received a tip the biological father of the boys, Ray Sanchez, was staying at a hotel there.

"When officers went to locate (Ray Sanchez), the children and Audry Guerrero (their biological mother) were located," said Sandy Gutierrez, SAPD spokesperson.

The boys are now in custody of CPS.
