San Antonio weighs in on royal baby predictions
Plenty are guessing the gender, but few have name predictions
SAN ANTONIO - Here in San Antonio, some are awaiting the royal baby's arrival -- and making predictions of their own.
"Everybody's waiting and anticipating what she's gong to have, so I hope she has a smooth delivery and a healthy baby," said Carol Gonzalez.
Most people had a hunch about whether the baby would be wearing blue booties or pink, and one woman even had a dream about a big surprise.
"I'm predicting it's probably a boy, and he's probably going to be at a healthy weight, because she's really small, and it seems like she probably has about an average size stomach for a pregnant woman," said Lindsey Knight.
"Last night, I dreamed that the royal baby was a girl, and they thought it was going to be a boy," said Fay Painter.
While there were lots of predictions about whether there'd be a new prince or princess, few predicted the baby's name.
"I have a feeling they're probably going to have a girl. I wouldn't know what they would name it, because they give pretty snazzy names, you know, royalty and all," said one woman.
Bernie Daniel said she has been following the royal family for decades, and she did have a name she hopes they'll use.
"I was such a fan of Princess Di, and you know, this is William's first and would have been Diana's first grandchild, so I hope it's a girl, and I hope they name her Diana," Daniel said.
Others just wished for a healthy birth.
"I wish her all the luck in the world, and I hope she has a very easy birth," said Barbara Vandever.
