Chain reaction crash sends SUV, big rig into east San Antonio home

SAPD: 18-wheeler driver crashes into SUV on East Houston Street

SAN ANTONIO - Three people were treated for injuries following a chain-reaction crash that came to end in front of an east San Antonio home Thursday morning.

San Antonio police say the driver of an 18-wheeler was speeding down the westbound lanes of the 2300 block of East Houston Street around 1 a.m. when the rig struck an SUV that was pulling out of a driveway.

The impact of the crash sent the SUV over a curb and into a home. The 18-wheeler came to a stop near the front door.  

Two people were inside the home at the time of the crash. Police said they were treated by paramedics for minor injuries. The driver of the SUV was also treated by paramedics.

Police have not said if the driver of the 18-wheeler would face any charges.
