Fugitive located, arrested in Live Oak

Derrick Williams, 19, arrested

SAN ANTONIO - A man wanted for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon was arrested Wednesday in Live Oak by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

A warrant was issued for Derrick Williams, 19, after a series of robberies with semiautomatic pistols on July 26 in the Austin area began an investigation by the Austin Police Department.

APD contacted LSFTE to assist in locating and apprehending Williams. Task force officers then issued a "Be On The Lookout" bulletin for Williams vehicle.

An officer with the Live Oak Police Department found spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of a Great Value Inn Wednesday morning. Task officers determined Williams was hiding in the rented room, which they entered, identified themselves and arrested Warren without incident.

Williams is behind held at Bexar County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He is facing aggravated robbery charges.
