Kerr County Sheriff's Deputies arrest man on fraud charges

Search of vehicle leads auth­orities to fraud suspect

SAN ANTONIO -  A Kerr County Sheriff's Deputy has arrested a man on several fraud charges. The deputy observed a silver dodge truck parked along Interstate 10,  with a paper license plate tag and after he ran the tag number the plate's number was not registered to the vehicle. 

The driver was later identified as 48-year-old Ronald Kenneth Dawson of Austin.   The deputy found over 50 different identification numbers under the name James Frost and 31 different identifications under the name Linda Frost.

He also found numerous forged checks that had been passed at  local Kerrville businesses.  Authorities eventually searched his  Austin home and uncovered over 500 forged documents, including checks and drivers licenses.

Dawson was charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information 50 items or more, a first degree felony.
