Bexar Co. deputy forced off road loses control of vehicle
Deputy in serious condition, according to sheriff's department
A Bexar County sheriff's deputy is in serious condition after he lost control of his vehicle and it rolled over.
It happened on Bulverde Road and 281. Authorities said the deputy was in pursuit of a traffic violator when a black pickup forced the deputy to lose control.
"We really don't know much. It would have been nice if the black truck would of stopped and at least rendered aid, or at least called in," said Sgt. Frank Bellino of the Bexar County Sheriff's Department.
A witness eventually called 911 as emergency responders rushed to the scene and used the jaws of life to free the deputy from his vehicle.
"We don't know what condition he's in," said Bellino. "It didn't look very serious, but serious enough."
The deputy was taken to university hospital. Deputies are searching for the black truck involved.
