2 killed, 1 injured in separate motorcycle wrecks across San Antonio
Fatal crash victims yet be identified
Two motorcyclists died and another was injured in separate wrecks across San Antonio late Thursday night.
The first fatal motorcycle crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. when the motorcyclist crashed into a Ford Focus as it turned into a side entrance of a CVS Pharmacy on Bitters Road.
SAPD officers said they received conflicting reports about what happened prior to the crash.
Some witnesses said the bike and another car were revving their engines at the stop light at the intersection of Bitters and Huebner.
Others said the motorcycle sped past one car when the light turned green and appeared to speed up to try to pass a Ford Focus that was turning into the driveway.
"When the driver turned left there was a collision between the Focus and the motorcycle and that caused the rider of the motorcycle to sail into the air," said Sgt. Daniel Gonzalez with SAPD.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene. He is believed to be between 20 to 30 years old.

The second fatal motorcycle crash occurred around midnight on the access road of Loop 410 near Highway 151.
San Antonio police say two motorcyclists were speeding down the access road when one of the riders lost control of his bike.
He was ejected from the motorcycle and slammed into a sign pole. Police said he was in his 20s and pronounced dead at the scene as well. The second motorcyclist did not stop to render aid and fled the scene, police said.
The names of both motorcyclists have not been released.
In between both fatal crashes, police responded to a separate accident where a motorcyclist ran a red light and T-boned a car.
This crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Thursday on McCullough Avenue near Interstate 35.
The motorcyclist, who police said was in his 30s, was wearing a helmet and taken to University Hospital with head injuries. Both people inside the car were checked by paramedics at the scene.
