A memorial organized to remember a local business owner killed in a motorcycle crash, allegedly caused by his wife, brought out hundreds Saturday afternoon.

Family, friends, associates, and even competitors lined up to pay their respects to Bill Hall, Jr., at the Hall and Sons Transport Yard in Von Ormy.

"We were just going to do like 40 trucks and 15-20 bikes and it turned out to be 70 to 80 trucks and 50 to 60 bikes, and a lot of people showed up," said Hank Hall, the owner of Hall and Sons Transport, Inc., and Bill Hall's cousin.

Hall died on October 10 after Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies said his wife Frances Hall chased him and his girlfriend on 1604.

Hall was on his motorcycle and his girlfriend was inside a Range Rover when his wife allegedly bumped his girlfriend's vehicle into a different lane, then struck her husband's motorcycle.

But many at Hall's memorial chose to remember the person he was.

"I just want to remember Bill for the great person he was and I thank everybody that showed up," said Issac Flores, a family friend.

"The great moments we shared when we were kids. He will be missed but never forgotten," said Pete Zamora, Hall's cousin.

Family and friends plan to continue the big rig memorial every year. They said it is what Bill would have wanted.
