Man struck by SUV after yelling at driver near UTSA

SUV driver fled after backing into man near UTSA

San Antonio police are on the lookout for the driver of an SUV that intentionally backed into a pedestrian near UTSA early Thursday morning.

Police said the incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the 6600 block of Pinon Canyon Lane off Hausman Road.

According to police, three men were standing in the road when the SUV sped by.

One of the men yelled for the driver to slow down, but the driver reversed and backed into the man, then fled the scene.

The injured man was treated at a hospital, but is expected to be OK. The SUV driver remained at-large as of 8 a.m. Thursday.
