Police nab Frost Bank robbery suspect

Andrew Rios, 29, charged with robbery

San Antonio police have arrested a man they say threatened a bank teller and took cash from a Frost Bank earlier this month.

The robbery occurred on Oct. 10 at the Frost Bank in the 11900 block of Blanco Road.

An arrest affidavit stated 29-year-old Andrew Rios walked up to the teller with a note demanding money. He then forced the teller to the back of the bank where he took money from a cash drawer.

Officers recognized the description of Rios given by the teller as someone who had been harassing neighboring businesses.

Police were able to match a photo of Rios with surveillance video from the bank, the affidavit stated. Rios has been charged with robbery.
