DNA evidence ties suspect to Christmas Day burglary
Police: Manuel Rodriguez, 38, cut himself during break-in
A trail of blood inside a burglarized Radio Shack store has led to the arrest of Northeast Side resident identified as Manuel Rodriguez, 35.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that San Antonio police used DNA evidence from that blood to tie Rodriguez to the crime, which happened nearly a year ago on Dec. 25.
Police said they also obtained surveillance video from the business which shows Rodriguez bleeding inside the store.
The DNA was compared to a database, and police said it showed up as a match for Rodriguez, the affidavit stated. He was arrested Tuesday on a charge of burglary.
