Early morning fire chases residents from westside apartments

Fire crews work to contain two alarm fire

An early morning fire had residents scrambling from units at a westside apartment complex.

The two-alarm fire broke out around 1 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Westward Dr.

Firefighters responding say the flames started in a vacant apartment and quickly spread to another building.

Firefighters say residents from just one apartment were displaced.

They've been moved to another apartment by management.

No injuries were reported.

Arson is investigating the cause of that fire.
