3 injured in 2 separate crashes
1 driver ejected 100 feet from car; 3-year-old boy, his mother injured in Comal wreck
A 22-year-old driver was critically injured in a rollover on the far West Side early Wednesday morning.
Police said the driver, Robert Arzola, was headed north around 4 a.m. on Loop 410 near Marbach when he missed an exit and lost control of his car.
The driver attempted to correct the car and it rolled end over end three times, San Antonio police said.
The driver went through the grassy median and struck several signs and a light post.
He was ejected 100 feet and transported to an area hospital. Police did not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
Woman, 3-year-old injured
Then, around 6 a.m., a two-car collision in Comal County sent a woman and her 3-year-old son to the hospital.
The crash occurred near Garden Ridge at the intersection of Highway 46 at FM 3009.
Officials believe the mother turned in front of a pickup truck and the impact of the crash caused her to slam into a guardrail.
She and her toddler son were taken to University Hospital by medical helicopter.
DPS troopers did not release their conditions, but said both were breathing at the time they were transported.
The pickup truck rolled over, but the driver only suffered cuts and bruises and did not want to be taken to a hospital.
