Man dies after double shooting in northwest San Antonio

Victim, other woman shot at home on Elderwood


A man who was shot Sunday morning on the Northwest Side died at the hospital, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 a.m. at a home in the 9000 block of Elderwood off Old Tezel Road. 

San Antonio police responded to a disturbance call and discovered a man and woman who had been shot.

Officers said the man had been shot multiple times and the woman was shot at least once.

Paramedics rushed both victims to University Hospital. The male victim underwent surgery, but later died. Police have not released his name.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but said they found another man injured at the shooting scene.

He also went to the hospital and police were trying to determine whether he had anything to do with the double shooting.

Police found a gun at the scene, but have not said if that was the weapon used during the incident.
