Cab driver carjacked in northeast San Antonio

Suspect sought in cab driver carjacking on Loop 1604

A San Antonio cab driver was carjacked early Monday morning after his passenger pulled out a knife and held it against the driver's throat.

The cab driver picked up the suspect around 1 a.m. in the 500 block of North Saint Mary's Street near the Greyhound Bus station.

According to San Antonio police, the man told the cab driver he did not have any money but his parents would pay the fare when they got to his house.

The suspect then pulled out a knife and held it to the cab driver's throat for an unknown reason near Loop 1604 and Judson Road.

The driver managed to get out of the car and the suspect drove away. Police later found the cab abandoned at Falcon Hill and Rebel Ridge.

The suspect had not been found as of 7 a.m. The cab driver was not injured, police said.
