SOUND OFF: Should pregnant woman be taken off life support?
Man says doctors are keeping his wife alive against her wishes
A Texas man says doctors are keeping his wife alive against her wishes because she's pregnant.
Erick Munoz says he and his wife Marlise are paramedics and had discussed end-of-life issues. He says both of them had discussed that they wouldn't want to be kept on life support. But Texas law prohibits doctors from removing life support from any pregnant woman, even if it's against her wishes. Marlise Munoz is about 18 weeks pregnant, and Erick worries that the baby may have been critically injured in the womb.
