Fire crews rescue adults, child after crash in downtown San Antonio

SUV slams into car on I-35 access road near McCullough


SAN ANTONIO - Two adults and a child were hospitalized late Sunday night after they were involved in an accident in downtown San Antonio.

San Antonio fire crews responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m. on the access road of Interstate 35 near McCullough Road.

According to police, the driver of an SUV struck a car and knocked it into a utility pole.

Rescue crews had to help the three occupants inside the mangled car get out.

One of the victims was taken to Metropolitan Methodist Hospital. The other two victims, a mother and her child, were taken to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.

There was no update on their condition late Sunday night. Charges against any of the drivers were unknown.
