VIA releases terrifying bus crash video

Multiple cameras capture violent crash caused by car running stop sign

SAN ANTONIO - Nearly two weeks after one of its buses crashed into two West side homes, VIA released surveillance footage captured by cameras mounted on the bus.

The accident happened on July 24, around 6:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Ceralvo Street.

The video footage shows the bus being hit from the right side by a car that ran a stop sign.

The bus then hits an SUV before jumping a curb, ramming several fences and slamming into two homes.

Only one passenger was on board the bus at the time of the accident. She was not seriously injured.

The drivers of the two other vehicles sustained minor injuries.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the car that caused the accident.
