SAN ANTONIO – A man is facing a charge of injury to the elderly after he hit his friend, who is confined to a wheelchair, over the head with a pipe, police said.
Ricki Rodriguez, 34, has a criminal record that includes firearm offenses, DWI and a narcotics violation, according to police.

The 66-year-old victim was visiting Rodriguez at his apartment Monday when the two got into a fight. Police said the victim suffered a deep cut on the top of his head and blacked out.
The victim was taken to a hospital, and Rodriguez was arrested.
