Neighbors outraged about new strip club
Club Endless Music offers more than just music, neighbors say
SAN ANTONIO - A new nightclub called Endless Music on the North Side is not really about the music and that has neighbors concerned.
They say it is a strip club masquerading as a bar.
Endless Music is on U.S. 281 at Redland Road and features scantily clad women dancing and gyrating to music.
This club is not licensed as a sexually oriented business, which means all private parts must be covered.
But a hidden camera investigation by the KSAT 12 Defenders found that some parts were exposed.
Alan Axtell, the superintendent of San Antonio Christian Schools nearby, said this is not just a nightclub.
"That is an adult entertainment venue and you just can't get around it," Axtell said.
Axtell said there are more than a thousand students on his campuses in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
"We're really concerned about them and our families are very concerned because of the environment that it begins to attract, the people it begins to attract," Axtell said.
Rebecca Badeaux is concerned for her second-grade daughter, Lise, and said a club like that should not be located a few hundred feet from a school.
"As a mother and as a parent here, we want our children protected," Badeaux said.
City Councilwoman Elisa Chan represents that area and a staff member said she knows about the club and launched an investigation into it.
Chan said any club that breaks the rules in terms of nudity has got to go.
Attempts to contact club management went unanswered.
Concerned neighbors plan to keep up the pressure on the city to take action against a club where nudity may be occurring.
