Cornyn, Cruz part of 4-senator tag team delaying vote on CIA nominee
Snowstorm doesn't stop filibuster of John Brennan
WASHINGTON - Both Texas senators joined the filibuster of the U.S. Senate confirmation vote on the nominee for intelligence director.
Veteran John Cornyn and freshman Ted Cruz are among the Senate Republicans who joined the extended remarks by Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky. Paul and the others questioned at length the legality of the Obama administration policy on potential drone strikes on U.S. soil.
Senate Democrats had hoped for a speedy vote Wednesday to confirm John Brennan as CIA director.
