Doelitsch's Release Worries Boerne Supt.

BOERNE, Texas -- An 18-year-old man accused of plotting a Columbine-style attack at Boerne Champion High School has been released from jail.
Allen Doelitsch was released from the Kendall County Jail on Sunday night after a judge reduced his bond, which was originally set at $500,000.
"I was very disappointed," Boerne Independent School District Superintendent John Kelly said of Doelitsch's release. "I had hoped the bond would be set so high that his release would not be possible. We view him as possibly the most substantial threat the district has faced."
In late August, Doelitsch was charged with solicitation of a minor to commit capital murder after he sent text messages to a 14-year-old asking him to join in an attack reminiscent of the 1999 school shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado that claimed the lives of 15 people, including the two shooters, police said.
In a jailhouse interview with KSAT 12 News, Doelitsch blamed depression, being off his medication and a television program about the massacre for the events that led to his arrest. Doelitsch also said he never would have followed through on the threat.
Doelitsch has been barred from setting foot on campus and contacting students.
Boerne Police Chief Gary Miller said security will be beefed up at the high school and at the middle school and asks students and parents to be on alert.
"Let us know if they see anything that concerns them," Miller said.
