SAN ANTONIO -- Two higher education institutions on opposite sides of the country are teaming up to help engineering students get a jump-start on their future careers.
San Antonio College, along with
Kettering University in Flint, Mich., are combining to offer students education at both institutions to ensure a smooth transition for SAC students.
Students will spend their first two years at SAC before moving to Kettering for their final two-plus years where they'll spend an additional three months in Michigan classrooms before returning to Texas to work for three months in professional cooperative jobs while receiving wages.
Kettering University is consistently ranked as one of the
nation's top engineering programs by U.S. News and World Report,
according to a SAC news release.
