Ten couples had hair 80s rockers would envy, but one of them won’t survive “Rock Week.” Let’s get rockin’!
KISS kicked off the show with their hit “Lick It Up.”
Before we find out who’s safe or in jeopardy, we get a look at the leaderboard.
- Donald & Peta – 27 points
- Maria & Derek – 26 points
- Roshon & Chelsie – 26 points
- Katherine & Mark – 24 points
- Gavin & Karina – 23 points
- Melissa & Maks – 22 points
- William & Cheryl – 22 points
- Jaleel & Kym – 22 points
- Sherri & Val – 21 points
- Gladys & Tristan – 20 points
The first two couples take the stage to learn their fates. I was so distracted by Maks and his crazy pants, I had no idea Melissa’s head hit Maks’s leg! OUCH! She wasn’t there for the results. She suffered a concussion and her doctor advised Melissa to rest. Maks hurt his arm. What a couple! Melissa & Maks are safe. Gavin & Karina are also safe. It’s the first time he hasn’t been in the bottom two!
Donald & Peta returned to perform their rocktastic paso doble.
Oh, Maria’s crazy laugh is baaaaaack! Seriously, someone make that a ringtone for me! I think I could use it to call dolphins or Fran Dreschers! Oh my. Jaleel said he’d try nudity to get ahead of the pack. Tom pointed out that if you hear Maria’s laugh enough, the pants “go right back on.” Only time will tell.
The next three couples learn their fates. Maria & Derek, Jaleel & Kym and Gladys & Tristan are safe. YAY!
It’s our first time filler: the pros talk about the challenges of getting the right star and competing. FF.
Gotan Project performed music while Karina and some really amazing professional dancer performed a crazy tango. I hope Gavin was taking notes because THAT’s how he should be dancing!
The next two couples – who just happen to be the week’s top scoring couples – learn their fates. Donald & Peta are safe. Roshon & Chelsie are in jeopardy.
Time filler #2: a peek at the DWTS live show in Las Vegas. It’s not just a taped piece! They performed LIVE!
The final three couples take the stage. Katherine & Mark and William & Cheryl are safe. Sherri & Val are in jeopardy. I’d say William was saved by his handsomeness.
The couple going home tonight: Sherri & Val.
Next week is “Latin Week.” If Cuban William doesn’t shine, I’ll quit him. Maybe.
