It’s the second elimination. After last night’s emotional rollercoaster, I’m ready for one of these couples to go home (except Katherine or William). Let’s get down to the business of the top ten couples!
Instead of jumping right to a full recap of the show (which was featured for an hour before this show), Seal took the stage before the couples and performed “Lean On Me.”
Next, a look at the leaderboard:
• Katherine & Mark – 29 points
• William & Cheryl – 28 points
• Maria & Derek – 27 points
• Donald & Peta – 26 points
• Roshon & Chelsie – 25 points
• Jaleel & Kym – 25 points
• Jack & Anna – 24 points
• Gavin & Karina – 24 points
• Sherri & Val – 24 points
• Melissa & Maks – 24 points
• Gladys & Tristan – 24 points
Len said last night’s performances were unbelievable. He said no one deserves to go home. Oh, but someone will.
The first four couples learn their fates. Katherine & Mark, Maria & Derek and Roshon & Chelsie are safe. Gavin & Karina are in jeopardy.
The first AT&T spotlight dance is tonight. Julia Ivleva, a professional dancer, has cancer. Since she cannot dance, Anna and her husband, Jonathan, performed a lovely dance in her honor. You can help her here.
Whew! Now, I’m hoping they don’t make me cry any more tonight!
Three more couples learn their fates. Holy crazy audio problems! The music has been all over the place! Back to the business… William & Cheryl and Jaleel & Kym are safe. Gladys & Tristan are in jeopardy.
BREAKING NEWS: For the next four weeks, the bottom two couples will dance simultaneously for the judges who will decide who goes home. That’s a first!
Some of my favorite dancers from another dance show on another network (Travis Wall, Twitch) performed as part of the Macy’s Stars of Dance segment.
There’s one more performance: Rascal Flatts performed “Change.”
The last four couples take the stage. Donald & Peta, Melissa & Maks and Sherri & Val are safe. Jack & Anna are in jeopardy.
One more round of eliminations tonight… Gladys & Tristan and Gavin & Karina are safe. Jack & Anna are going home. I’m OK with that. Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks when the judges – not the people – have the final say about which couples get to keep on dancing!
