Iconic Texas rock trio ZZ Top to perform in San Antonio

ZZ Top to perform at Majestic Theatre on May 16

SAN ANTONIO – Iconic Texas rock band ZZ Top will make a stop in San Antonio during the groups upcoming Tonnage Tour.

ZZ Top is scheduled to perform May 16 at the Majestic Theatre. The group is slated to perform in a total of nine Texas cities during the tour.

The Tonnage Tour is named after “Sixteen Tons,” Tennessee Ernie Ford’s hit from 1956. The song has also become a staple of ZZ Top’s live sets.

The group has won multiple awards, holds several chart and album sales accomplishments, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
